Who we are
This policy covers www.qdbi.net, the website of Quinn Design-Build Inc. (“QDBI”, “we”, “us”), 3520 Swenson Ave, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. It explains what information the site collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Construction work we carry out for a client is governed by the written agreement for that project, not by this policy.
Information you give us
When you send a message through our contact form or request a quote, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Anything you choose to tell us about your project
- Your confirmation that you agree to this policy
If you call or email us directly, we receive whatever information you share in that conversation.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used to run and secure the site.
We also use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people find and use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you view, time on site, the website that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location based on your IP address.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and follow up about your project
- To prepare estimates, proposals and agreements you ask for
- To understand which parts of the site are useful and improve them
- To protect the site and our forms from spam and abuse
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, and only as much as they need:
- Netlify, which hosts the site and receives form submissions
- Google, which provides Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- The email and business software we use to reply to you and manage projects
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work without them. To stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
There is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, so the site does not respond to them.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you, to manage any project that follows, and to maintain normal business records. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in Google Analytics.
How we protect information
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and we limit who can see form submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Children’s privacy
This site is meant for businesses and adults planning construction projects. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information you have sent us through the site. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws.
Other websites
The site links to other websites, including our Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
